This is my 3rd test of Easy Canvas together with Tablet Pro and Zbrush on my iPad Pro. I did a 1 Hour sculpting test that I condensed down to about 15 minutes time lapse, testing to see how well Zbrush 2020 worked on my iPad Pro, via the Easy Canvas connection. I am very impressed!! I will continue to share more tests as I sculpt different creatures.
Oh My Gosh!! I can’t wait for Unreal Engine 5!! 2021 come here already!! Real-time rendering was on my mind when I woke up to the news that UE5 was coming soon. I watched the video announcement multiple times. What a time to be alive as a Filmmaker and Game creator.
From the Epic Announcement: Unreal Engine 5 empowers artists to achieve unprecedented levels of detail and interactivity, and brings these capabilities within practical reach of teams of all sizes through highly productive tools and content libraries.
#tbt So this was my First Day heading out to my First Full Time Job as a 3D Artist and Animator in the USA, creating content for Video games, supporting the defense Industry. A friend who took this picture was my college mate and co-worker who got me the internship at the Defense contractor he was working at, I was hired full-time after my internship. 20 other people had applied to the job, people with Masters in Fine Art, and lots more experience than I had, but God had purposed that this was to be my training ground.
I remember feeling nervous, but also excited ~ I was finally going to be creating in real life, the things I had only imagined and experienced as a kid growing up in Uganda ~ I was going to build tanks, guns, animate aircraft, humvees, soldiers training you name it…
I see myself in this photo as a young Ugandan artist, in his parents’ backyard at Mutundwe, building wire helicopters, recycling toothpaste tubes to line the frame of wire fighter jets, cutting up discarded Styrofoam to create floating fleets of destroyers, rigging up transmitters and radios recycled from old TVs and radios, to build transmission stations… I remember the day Budo Junior school was taken over by Kadogos as the NRM pushed their way through Busega and towards Kampala ~ at this moment.. all those memories of glinting guns, harsh Swahili barked commands, artillery being swung around to aim towards Kampala… came flooding back.. I wondered if all those experiences would come back to help me in my career as a storyteller… and I can honestly say, they sure did.
I have met so many wonderful and patriotic friends in this industry and learned so much about the sacrifice and price of freedom, I will forever treasure the training and proving ground God chose for me …

I was so inspired and blessed to meet Oscar-Winning Director Matthew A. Cherry and fellow Illustrator, Vashti Harrison. I homeschooled Little Nantayi and Solomon Jr, for 6 years, and during that time I had to learn how to do our daughter’s hair. The Hair Love animated short film hit home for me. So yesterday I took mukyala Jagwe, on a date for a screening of Hair Love. It was a blessed evening, and we heard the journey of what it takes to pursue a storytelling dream. We left super encouraged to continue working hard on The Adventures of Nkoza and Nankya and hope to inspire our fellow African and Ugandan storytellers. Friends, never give up on your dreams and dare to Dream Big!! ~ www.nkozaandnankya.com ~ www.sowlstudios.com

I am excited to share with you this Short animated film, that I Wrote, Directed and Animated, from the Nkoza and Nankya Universe, entitled “Enjovu, The Elephant Tail.” Maama Nankya shares a bedtime story with Nankya. It’s based on an old folk tale and Luganda nursery rhyme we used to sing as kids growing up in Uganda, with an awesome moral of teaching kids to never ever be ashamed of who they are. We encourage you to build up your little ones and inspire them to celebrate their uniqueness and how God created them. Enjoy it with your little ones so they can learn a cool Luganda word: Elephant called Njovu in Luganda.

This is a quick test to show how well Zbrush 2019 is working on an iPad Pro with Duet. I am using my PC and Duet extends my monitor to the iPad Pro screen. I have uploaded a new video to my Youtube Channel: Tutorial showing how you can use the Perception Neuron Motion Capture data in the UnrealEngine, from iClone using the Unreal Live Link Plugin. This is a huge time saver, and also makes it possible to edit your mocap data in realtime, before applying it to your unreal character. I will continue to share my thoughts and results as I work more with the Unreal Engine, Unreal Live link, and the Perception Neuron Pro Mocap suit. ~ Daring to Dream really big!!
